It takes around 1-2 hours to reach Madhabkunda from Srimangal. The best way to go here is by bus.

Lawachara Rain Forest:

The forest possesses a spectacular number of species including endangered hoolok gibbons, deer, wild chicken, squirrel, python slow loris, capped languor, and about 260 bird species of birds recorded, among others.Located only 8 km. from Srimangal.

Tribal Villages:

One can have a visit to Tribal Village to discover tribal cultures and lifestyles. This villages are famous for hand made or handicraft things. The lifestyles and traditions of the Tripra and the Khashia can also be discovered here.

The sanctuary encompasses several hills of different elevations and low lying valleys.
