St. Martin’s Island, Famous for his Beach fringed with coconut palms (You will find
a lots of coconut trees), Coral, algae, seaweeds, grasses, mangroves and laid-back
locals. 234 species of fish have been found in the coastal water of St.
Martin's Island. It is the most beautiful
Coral Island where you will find live corals. In St. Martin’s Island,
7 species of crab, 9 species of echinoderms, 186 species of mollusc &
oyster, 4 species of sea urchin, 1 species of sea cucumber & some brittle

Island located on the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal.
It’s only 30 km from Teknaf. Teknaf is an Upazila of Cox's Bazar
District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It’s a small Island about 8,000 of Population on 12 sq. km.
Most of the island's approximately 3,700 inhabitants live primarily from
fishing. The local name of the island is "Narical Gingira",
translated from Bangla, meaning 'Coconut
Island'. However, St. Martin Island
is one of the most beautiful place in Bangladesh. It is the most
attractive tourist spot for local and foreign tourists around 3,000 people
visit this island daily.

Cheera-dwip:
The island is flat with the snails to come up with the water is mixed with
sand. There are 18 species of biodiversity, including the 4 species of
amphibians, 130 species of birds, mammals have been found in here. In that Island you will find the Corals. The large bigger stone
place and dead coral filling surrounded in Chera dip. Cheera-dwip
is a part of St. Martins Island but divided during tides. You can go to
Cheera-dwip by walking. It’s takes 2.5 hours. You can go there also by local
motorboat or tourist boat for cheap. People do not live in this Island.
*Coconut Garden: Located middle of the St. Martin's Island, Here one can see a lots of Coconut trees, huge of
birds animal. Tourist can enjoy Green Coconut water.

By Air
Cox’s Bazaar is connected by air with
the capital city Dhaka of Bangladesh, Dhaka and
Cox’s
Bazaar in Chittagong Daily non-stop
flights are available on United Airways. The journey by
plane takes60 minutes and fare is BD taka 6000.00 and 3500.00. Then Cox’s
Bazaar to Teknaf by
Bus. From Teknaf you can ride a
Sea Truck, Ship to St. Martin
Island. The private AC
bus are available from Dhaka,
Or Dhaka to Teknaf by Bus.
You can go to
the St. Martin Island
from Dhaka, Chittagong, or Dhaka
to Teknaf. By bus it
takes about 10-12 hours from Dhaka to Teknaf. From Teknaf you can ride a Sea Truck,
Ship, or Shallow engine boat to St. Martin Island.
