Rangamati, famous for his Lakes, the green Hills, Hinging bridge and rivers of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. It is a part of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. It is known as the Lake City of Bangladesh and the largest district of Bangladesh. For long time Rangamati has been a major Bangladesh tourist attraction for its location, scenic beauty, Jungle(forrest), colourful tribal people, and there handicraft and homemade thing. “Rangamati” always you seen Trees becoming greener, waterfalls are in full tide, the river Karnaphuli in her full wave. Every one can enjoy boating, hiking (on the hilly area) the nature, tribal lifestyle and many more. Rangamati, is located at South-eastern side of Bangladesh. It is a district in Chittagong Division of Bangladesh and 77 kilometer away from Chittagong district. There are many Tribal people above 52 Percent; the local tribes are the Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Murang, Rakhain etc. The main Rivers in Rangamati are Karnafuli, Shublang, and Kaptai.

Places to visit at Rangamati: 



*Kaptai Lake: Located located about 25 kilometers away from Rangamati main town. This large manmade lake of Bangladesh an area of 11000 km2. Famous for his picturesque view as forested hills and plateaus rise from beneath the water and it’s accessible through the waterways. Also you  can visit the tribal lifestyle of Chakmas’ in here. You can also visit Alutila hill.

* Hanging Bridge: Located about 5 kelometer from the Rangamati main town. A awesome man made bridge on Kaptai Lake, It is about 335 feet long Bridge on Kaptai Lake. It’s an icon of Rangamati. Visitor can hire private jeep or CNG auto rickshaw to go there.

* Tribal Museum: Visitors can view displays The Tribal Cultural Institute, Traditional ornaments, costumes, potteries, musical instruments, armaments, paintings and photographs, old manuscripts, statues and ancient coins of various tribes are on display here.  located near the entry point to the city.

* Shuvolong Falls: 25kilometers away from Rangamati. Shuvolong Waterfalls is a good-looking waterfall in Rangamati. It is a well-known place with the tourists for the waterfall, high hills and the natural neighbouring it offers.

* Shajek and Marissa Vally: The valley is 18000 ft high form sea lavel. The main ethnic minorities on the valley are Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Pankua, Lushai and Sagma. Marishsha is a name of a place near Sajek Valley. Most of the houses are made by bamboo. Most attractions of the spot are sun set, rain, morning, evening, and night and aborigine people and tribal people made handicraft. Sajek is a union at Baghaichari Upazila in Rangamati districts.

* Chakma Royal Palace: This is the palace of the Chakma King there he lived. one can view of Cakma traditional life stayle. It’s on of the tourist attraction of Rangamati.

* Peda Ting Ting: A small island on the Kaptai Lake, few kilometres away from Rangamati.
*  Rajban Bihar Pagoda: An internationally known Buddhist Temple.
*  Kaptai National Park: Located in the Karnafuly and Kaptai range.

How To Travel:
Chittagong is connected by air with the capital city Dhaka of Bangladesh, Dhaka and Chittagong
 Daily non-stop flights are available on United Airways. The journey by plane takes 60 minutes
 and fare is BD taka 6000.00 and 3500.00. One way from Dhaka and Chittagong. Then, by
 bus Chittagong to Rangamati it takes 1 hours. Or by bus from Dhaka to Rangamati  it take about
 5-6 hours. The private AC bus are available from Dhaka to Rangamati. One can rent a private car
 from Dhaka it’s take 3-4 hours to reach Rangamati.
